7] PIPELINE RADIOGRAPHY CRAWLER : IPSI - France

IRIS pipeline Crawlers are made by M/s IPSI, France. The Crawlers are useful for radiography of off-shore and on-shore cross country pipelines. The crawlers are fitted with panoramic type X-ray generators or Gamma-ray projectors for radiography of pipe welds. Both the crawlers as well as X-ray generators work on built in chargeable batteries. The movement of the crawlers is remote controlled from outside the pipeline with help of remote hand held pilot transmitter fitted with cesium-132 isotope source of 20 milli-curies. IRIS pipeline crawlers are the state of the art equipment and simple to operate .Several crawlers are in use all over the world including India. With several thousand kilometers of cross country pipelines that are laid all over India, IRIS crawlers open a whole lot of business opportunities. IRIS crawlers are available in basically two sizes. IRIS-6 for radiography of pipes of diameter 6” to 18” and IRIS-10 for pipes of diameter 12” to 60”. X-ray equipment or Gamma-ray projectors can be selected and fitted to the crawlers as per individual job requirement.

8] SWIFT MANUAL CRAWLER for Radiography of short length pipelines:

Swift manual crawler is specially designed to work with Hi-Rad or any other portable X-Ray machine. It can operate in short length pipelines up to maximum of 40 metres in length. Swift crawler can radiograph circumferential weld joints in pipes of diameters from 25 cms to 150 cms.( 10” to 60”). Swift crawler drives on built in chargeable batteries. It can be controlled over a wired remote controller and can move forward and backward with great amount of accuracy. The crawler supports and can be supplied complete with 160 kV/ 200 kV or 250 kV Panoramic X ray machines.
