2] STRESS RELIEVING ACCESSORIES

A] CERAMIC FLEXIBLE MAT HEATERS

Ceramic Flexible Heaters are manufactured using high grade materials and have a working temperature capability of 1050ºC. They can be powered from Power source/ Heat treatment units, Control Panels or Welding machines.

Heater Pads consists of multi-strand Nickel-Chromium wire, electrically insulated by interlocking sintered alumina beads, providing a flexible high heat transfer. Mats, complete with twist lock connectors are available.

Heaters are rated at low voltage of 30V, 32.5V,40V, 42.5V, 60V, 65V, 80V and available in wide range of sizes .Non-standard voltages of 220V & 240V are also available. Mats of other sizes and rating can be supplied on request.

Heaters are rated at 45 Amps for 30V, 60V and 80V and 50 Amps for 32.5V, 65 V and 85V.

Heaters pads can also be used for pre-heat, post-heat and post-weld Heat Treatment of welds.

C] FINGER ELEMENTS

Finger elements are well established pre and post weld heaters, suitable to be powered from AD/DC welding machines or power sources.

Ruggedly constructed, they require minimal maintenance and are capable of withstanding considerable on-site maltreatment.

The element consists of two solid drawn Nickel Chrome element wires passed through sintered alumina beads providing electrical insulation and high heat transfer capability.

Standard element maximum working temperature is 1050ºC each finger being rated at 120 Amps at 1.3 Volts.

For heat treatment of stainless steel, special solid drawn Kanthal wire is required to give a maximum operating temperature of 1250ºC.

Steel connector blocks or twist-lock connectors are provided for end termination.

D] CHANNEL HEATERS

Channel Heaters are main voltage heating elements. The elements can be connected in ‘STAR’ or ‘DELTA’ and operated from 380/415/440V 3 Phase supply.

They can be used to heat-treat circumferential joints of large vessels using ‘BULKHEAD’ technique or can be used for building temporary furnaces for Heat Treatment at site.

Portable and easy to handle, they have a long on-site working life and are suitable for a variety of applications.

Channel heaters are most suitable to be used with Temcon 60 and Temcon100 control panels. Working temperatures of up to 800ºC are permissible, but higher temperatures can be achieved using Kanthal wire as alternative element material.

Steel connector blocks or twist-lock connectors are provided for tail terminations.
